About Ricardo
I am a chiropractor with a deep-rooted foundation in elite sports and sports science. Born in Mexico into a family of dentists, I developed an early passion for athletics, beginning my journey at just three years old. My competitive background includes swimming, pentathlon, and fencing; I was a member of the Mexican national youth swimming team from 2004–2005 and represented the Mexican national fencing team from 2007 until 2011.
Today, I draw on my firsthand experience as a national-level athlete to support both high-performance and recreational athletes. Trained in Mexico and based in Berlin since 2021, I have worked extensively in multidisciplinary healthcare environments. I specialize in:
-
Sports-related injuries
-
Chronic & acute pain management
-
TMJ disorders
-
Performance optimization
I believe in taking the time to truly understand each of my patients. By looking beyond the immediate symptoms, I aim to identify the root cause of an issue and develop an individualized treatment strategy focused on long-term results.

I am happy to conduct our sessions in any of the following languages:
Spanish, English, German, or Portuguese.

Why I Became a Chiropractor
I became a chiropractor after a serious injury as an international swimmer that conventional sports medicine could not resolve. My recovery through a traditional bonesetter reshaped my understanding of healthcare and inspired my career path.
As a former elite athlete, I naturally connect with athletes and their physical and emotional challenges. Early work at national championships and with the CNAR and Olympic Committee showed me the true impact of chiropractic care and shaped the way I treat patients: with empathy, respect, and deep listening.
After working in Mexico, France, Ireland, and Germany, I founded Chirowerk Berlin in 2025. Today, I help people of all ages, especially athletes, pregnant women, and children heal, perform, and feel understood. I strive for full recovery, prevent recurrence, and optimize long-term function.
Vision
Chiropractic care is more than a profession to me; it is a vocation grounded in evidence-informed practice and a deep commitment to patient-centered care. My professional path has been shaped not only by clinical training, but also by personal experience with injury, recovery, and the physical demands of an active life.

Growing up in a family of healthcare professionals, I learned early on the importance of precision, integrity, and taking time with each patient. This philosophy was further strengthened through my clinical development and mentorship, where I refined a structured, biomechanical approach to assessment and treatment.

I believe that effective care begins with listening. Each patient presents with a unique history, lifestyle, and functional goals. For this reason, I dedicate sufficient time to thorough examination, clear explanation, and individualized treatment planning. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I aim to understand the body as an integrated system and to address the underlying contributors to dysfunction.

My goal is to support recovery, restore movement, and promote long-term musculoskeletal health, helping patients move with greater confidence, resilience, and quality of life.
My practice is built on structured clinical reasoning, one-on-one sessions, and thoughtful execution, because meaningful recovery requires more than a quick intervention.

Performance
At our chiropractic practice in Berlin, we help athletes and active individuals improve performance, mobility, and recovery. Using modern chiropractic techniques and experience from elite sports, our goal is to help your body move efficiently and perform at its best.
Education and Voluntary Work in Mexico
Through the Mexican Mission, a chiropractic volunteer program that I co-founded with Dr. Levi Richards in 2019, providing care in rural communities across Mexico, I have had the opportunity to apply my skills while helping people with limited access to healthcare. Since 2021, I have been living and working in Berlin, gaining experience within the European cultural and professional environment while building my chiropractic practice.
Extensive Experience in Elite Sports
My passion for sports has remained strong, and in 2021 I earned a Master’s degree in Sports Science. I have extensive experience as a chiropractor in high-performance sports. In 2014- 2016 , I worked at the CONADE Sports Center and the Mexican Olympic Committee, supporting athletes competing internationally across 15 different sport disciplines.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated not only with sports physicians but also with dentists, pediatricians, and gerontologists, allowing for an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. This interdisciplinary approach helped to ensure comprehensive chiropractic care focused on performance, recovery, and long-term health.
Your Partner in Performance Sports
I work with both elite athletes and recreational sports enthusiasts, helping them manage the physical demands of training and competition. My chiropractic approach focuses on performance optimization, injury prevention, and recovery. I also offer specialized care for temporomandibular joint (TMJ/CMD) disorders and provide gait analysis consultation to improve movement and support optimal biomechanics.
